Privacy policy

This policy also covers Lanie's Haus Nail Studio, which works from the same studio and sells its treatments through this website.

• When you order: your name, email address and phone number, and what you bought. For a custom design, the details of the design you chose.
• If you create an account: your email address, a password, and any details or address you save. Your password is stored in a form we cannot read.
• How you found us: when you order, we note whether you came from a link (for example Instagram), a search engine or typed our address. Only the site, not the page you were on.
• When you pay: nothing about your card. Payments are handled by Yoco on their own secure page, and we only learn whether a payment succeeded.
• When you visit the studio: what you need for your fitting, such as your dental impression.

• To make and deliver what you ordered, and to book and confirm your fitting.
• To contact you about your order or appointment.
• To run your account, including order history and a saved cart.
• To keep the financial records the law requires.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

We share only what each service needs to do its job, and each is bound to keep it confidential:

• Yoco processes card payments.
• Our web host stores the website, your account and your orders.
• Google Calendar handles appointment bookings when you book online.
• Google Fonts supplies the website's typeface, which means your browser contacts Google when a page loads.

Some of these providers may store information outside South Africa. Where they do, we rely on their commitments to protect it to a standard comparable to POPIA.

The galleries on our website show photos from our own Instagram accounts: TM Grillz Studio's and Lanie's Haus's. We keep copies of them on our server so the website does not load anything from Instagram. If you appear in one and would like it removed, contact us and we will take it down.

If you sign in, we set a cookie that keeps you signed in. Your cart, and how you arrived at the site, are kept in your own browser so they survive a page reload. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We keep order and payment records for as long as tax law requires, currently five years. Account details stay until you ask us to delete your account.

Under POPIA you can ask us to:

• show you the personal information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete it, where we are not required by law to keep it;
• stop using it for a particular purpose.
